That Crazy Vagina Beer Is Actually Real!

Back in 2016, we ran a post that featured the world’s first beer cultured from a woman’s vagina. Normally, we’d just let that post speak for itself, but there has been an insane amount of interest in that piece, so it’s time to check back in with this crazy news to find out just where that company is at.

For those not in the know, here’s the TL:DR; The brand Order of Yoni set the internet on fire a few years ago by claiming they were going to release the first ever beer made with vaginal yeast. The whole concept is brewing beer using the “femininity of a woman”, which their website claims to work:

Using hi-tech of microbiology, we isolate, examine and prepare lactic acid bacteria from vagina of a unique woman. The bacteria, lactobacillus, transfer woman’s features, allure, grace, glamour, and her instincts into beers and other products, turning them into dance with lovely goddess.

If it sounds crazy to you, you aren’t the only one. From launch there didn’t seem to be much support with this idea and two years later, you’d be forgiven if you thought the whole thing had just crawled back into the dark corners of the internet.

The first sign that this was not going to end well is the fact that the company’s Indigogo campaign raised a paltry $1,500 of the $150,000 goal. Despite the massive amount of media coverage and internet interest, the whole thing seemed like a joke and quickly went into obscurity….but it didn’t die.

Regardless of how insane you thought this product was, it actually survived and is making its way to market very, very soon. Despite relatively little activity on their official Facebook page, suddenly on July 14th there was actual proof this existed. A Polish blogger by the name of Chmielobrody seems to have had the first ever bottle and review.

For his part, Chmielobrody says he isn’t a fan of the marketing and thinks it’s a little over the top, but claims the beer (actually two different beers) tastes good!

But that’s not all!

On July 28th the White Monkey Pub in Katowice, Poland is hosting the first ever tapping event of this beer! I kid you not, it’s actually made it to market. Even crazier is the fact that the beer flowing that night will be the “non-pasteurized” version *SHUDDER*

So it appears that at least some drinkers are going to be able to get their fill of vagina beer, even if it is in limited supply. The question now becomes, will this product make its way over to North America? That does seem to be the goal, as the company’s website and social media is all in English despite having such a limited run restricted to Poland at the moment.
