It’s been a long time coming, but Vancouver’s Shark Club is set to re-open its doors as of December 1st.
Located at 180 West Georgia, Shark Club originally opened in 1993 and has been a go-to destination sports bar and pre-game dinner and drinks. After a full 18 month massive remodelling, they are ready to unveil the new design on December 1st at 8:00 pm with a special event filled with giveaways and menu specials.
Boasting a design by Daniel Meloché and Devonna Gaglardi, the 9,250 square-foot space features open loft-style concept with a vintage sports theme, wrap-around score tickers and central, 66-foot-long bar clad in industrial steel. Two giant 12-foot-by-seven-foot media walls offer everyone a vantage point to all the action, with an additional 60 oversized, flat-screen TVs catching every play throughout the multi-functional room. After the game, the lounge turns into an overtime dance floor with beats thrown down from the fully operational scissor-lift DJ booth.
They’ve also redesigned the menu, including a full list of custom cocktails created by some of Vancouver’s best, and a craft beer list of around 20 on tap local brews.
This is a multi-million dollar overhaul that they are clearly excited about, so I’d definitely check it out to see if it’s worth the hype.
