Scary Good Halloween Cocktails

Terrify your friends with your bartending skills

Halloween is one of those holidays that practically demands creative cocktail options. There’s so much choice when it comes to Halloween, you could go spooky colours, unique ingredients, add dry ice for a fog effect or simply use seasonal ingredients to represent the fall weather.

We’ve shared some past Halloween cocktail options before, but because there’s so much variety we’ve found some more for this year that we are very excited to try.

The Goblin

Colourful cocktails are always a hit, especially during Halloween. There’s something about the vibrant green colour that really adds to the mood.

  • 1.5 oz BACARDÍ Superior Rum
  • 0.5 oz Midori Liqueur
  • 0.5 oz Reàl Coco
  • 0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 2 oz Dole Pineapple Juice

Method: Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a coupe or martini glass. Garnish with bat or ghost gummies.

Grey Goose La Poire Pear & Thyme

Not all Halloween cocktails have to be so “on the nose”; with this seasonal cocktail, you can make use of seasonal pears and fresh thyme to make something that is both refreshing and still seasonally appropriate.

  • 2 oz GREY GOOSE® La Poire Flavoured Vodka
  • 1.5oz Pear Nectar
  • 1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Garnish: Fresh thyme sprig and slice of pear

Method: Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain over fresh ice in a highball glass and garnish with a sprig of thyme and slices of pear.

To the Moon and Black

If there was ever a time to purchase black vodka, it’s during Halloween. Classic cocktails become  unique with the black tint, and new creative inventions like this cocktail really help elevate the ingredients.

  • 1.5 oz Hounds Vodka
  • 0.75 oz Crème De Cassis
  • 1.5 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 0.75 oz Simple Syrup

Method: Stir all ingredients over ice in a mixing glass until chilled. Strain over fresh ice in a double old fashioned glass. Garnish with fresh blackberries.

Sweet Poison

  • Garnish: Pineapple wedge
