As the weather gets warmer, we’re on the lookout for beers that are those thirst-quenching, crushable patio drinkers. Wildeye’s Czech Pilsner fits the bill perfectly.
Wildeye is one of more than a handful of breweries that have popped up over the last few years in North Vancouver. Opened in May of 2019, Wildeye may be a slight bit out of the way from the cluster of breweries near Lonsdale, but that shouldn’t deter anyone from trying them out.
Wildeye is the the brainchild of Samantha Lindeman, and if that name sounds familiar you may know it from the Australian Lindeman family-owned winery, founded in 1843. So she has some serious pedigree behind her when it comes to working in the alcohol industry.

While Wildeye experiments with a number of different styles, it’s the Czech Pilsner that really shines for us this month. The Czech-style Pilsner is a journey back in time, an homage to the original high quality, crisp and mouthwatering style. It’s a clean, crisp drinking Pilsner that doesn’t try to add anything to it, it’s just a good quality beer.
Coming in at 4.8% ABV, it’s the type of Pilsner that you can enjoy several of during the warm weather. There should be no surprise that this style is Wildeye’s top seller.
