We all miss travel, that’s an obvious statement. Whether it’s the sense of excitement that builds up before taking off for adventure or the quiet moments spent on an exotic beach we’re all waiting for the days that we can start planning for those escapes once again.
But in the meantime, since we don’t have the luxury of simply whisking away to exotic locales, we can at least dream of adventure and that’s exactly where Main Street Brewing’s new travel beer series comes in. Every month a new beer will feature some of the best elements of travel; this month’s focus is on the start to every great vacation, the departure lounge. This hibiscus Grisette features tropical notes with an easy drinking flavour of hibiscus flowers and lemon, perfect for a pint or two while waiting for the boarding call. It also comes in at a very low ABV of 4.8%, which is perfect for those looking to endulge in a couple of beers while dreaming of far away locales.
Departure Lounge is currently available on tap and in cans and four-packs at the Main Street tasting room at 261 East Seventh Ave. You can also find it at select liquor stores across Vancouver.
We’re looking forward to more from this series, as it gives us a chance for a small escape from the every day while we wait for travel to become a thing again.
