2018 BC Beer Award Winners

The 9th Annual BC Beer Awards & Festival returned to Vancouver this past Saturday, at the Croatian Cultural Centre and as always it was another sold out show. The signature tasting event of BC Craft Beer Month, this festival celebrates the very best in craft brewing from across the province and hosts over 55 BC breweries.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an awards show without a few winners, and plenty of breweries walked away with some serious hardware. This year was a massive turnout for breweries across the province, judges were tasked with determining the best beer out of 1,050 beer submitted by 109 breweries!

For those looking for the TL:DR, the most significant awards won were of course Brewery of the Year and Rookie of the Year, which went to 33 Acres and Sooke Brewing respectively. Best in Show went to Twin City for their Late Bloomer Tart Ale.
