Whistler Village Beer Fest Returns September 11-16

You read that right, six full days of beer and activities in one of the most beautiful settings in the province!

This is the first year the Whistler Village festival will span a full six days, and there is no lack of activities for the beer and outdoor enthusiast. There’s axe throwing, beer yoga, brunch, rare beer tastings, tap takeovers, after parties and more. Meanwhile the main event, located at Whistler Olympic Plaza runs on Saturday and Sunday and will feature 65+ breweries pouring 130+ styles of beer and cider.

General admission passes start at $59, but there are a range of options, including all the other events throughout the week. Tourism Whistler has also partnered up to help with trip planning and accommodations, as chances are you’re going to want to stay at least the night in Whistler after consuming beer all day long.

The festival is a great time, and if you need a little more convincing, here’s a snapshot from last year’s festival:

Breweries from around the province turn out, and there’s a public vote on who the top three of the festival are. This isn’t just an arbitrary vote either; the top three placing breweries as decided by redeemed token weight plus a people’s choice selection voted on by festival-goers win draught contracts with real, live venues in Whistler. Last year’s winners were Doan’s, Backcountry Brewing and Field House.

Do you really need more convincing to drink great beer in Whistler? How about this, if you do go you can also hit up the best cocktail bars in town.
