Beer and boxing, a pairing as old as….well beer and boxing. On Sunday April 17th Vancouver’s Eastside Boxing Club will host Beer Wars at Caprice Nightclub(967 Granville Street, Vancouver). Key players in the Vancouver craft beer industry will enter the boxing ring to raise funds for Eastside Boxing Club’sVancouver Roving Leaders Program benefiting at-risk youth. Tickets for Beer Wars can be purchased here. Participating breweries are donating product to sell at fight night to raise money for the cause.
“Beer Wars is a project that is very close to my heart and what better way to raise money than combining beer and boxing!” said Beer Wars representative Chris Bjerrisgaard. “I’m proud of the craft beer community for stepping it up and getting involved in such a great cause.”
“We are thrilled about the upcoming Beer Wars festivities,” said Coach Dave Schuck, founder of Eastside Boxing Club. “We need support from local businesses and this is going to make a major impact.”

Full proceeds from Beer Wars will go to Eastside Boxing Club. Balcony, floor and VIP tickets are available at $75 (VIP) and $50 (balcony), floor seats appear to be sold out already.
